About Me
Leah Hendry began her property management career at 17 years old working as a leasing agent for apartment complexes in Las Vegas in the early 90’s. It wasn’t long before she took on the role as a Senior Leasing Specialist where she was placed in new construction build outs, responsible for leasing up all of the inventory of each community. She excelled at this and was made Property Manager of her last lease up and spent the next few years going to failing properties and rejuvenating them. Leah has managed over 2,000 units personally at one time. In 2005, Leah decided it was time to get her real estate license and property management permit so as to start managing single family homes, condos and townhomes and has been managing properties for individual owners as well as investors with multiple properties for over 16 years in the Las Vegas/ Henderson/ North Las Vegas areas.
Leah went to CSN in Las Vegas for her Associates Degree in Real Estate, having taken such courses as Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investing as well as Broke Management courses. After completing this degree, Leah transferred to UNLV to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. After this, Leah moved over to Grand Canyon University to complete her Master’s Degree in History with an emphasis on Education. Currently, Leah is still at Grand Canyon University completing her Doctorate in Psychology with an Emphasis on Philosophy. One of Leah’s many hobbies is researching in the criminal justice field and hopes to one day design a course for college level students that encompass her passions of history research and criminal justice wrongful convictions with a focus on the psychology of offenders and she hopes to help law enforcement find offenders before they commit crimes with the aid of her profiling abilities.
In her free time, you will find her with her husband Jason and their four shih-tzu puppies, Maximus, Mixi, Maverick and Maddox or hanging out with her mother, sister and nephews either trying new foods or watching movies. Always being the avid reader, Leah spends most Saturdays at Barnes and Noble or the library, always on the hunt for the next great book to read and while any subject can be interesting to her, she prefers murder mysteries by Agatha Christy and the like or suspenseful novels by writers like Stephen King and Dean Koontz. Vacation time is taken annually in December and Leah and Jason like to go on cruises, mostly in the Caribbean though Leah has been to Europe, Asia and South America as well.
